Many homeowners use the summer to spruce up their humble abodes, perhaps a new deck in the back or a fresh coat of new paint in the living room.
Those seeking design inspiration should check out the Southern Living Custom Builder Program show home tour, opening today and running through Aug. 27.
Tours will be noon to 6 p.m. Thursdays, noon to 8 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $5 per person at the door.
The Southern Living home floor plan featured on the tour is at Baldwin Farm at 1907 Killarney Drive in Hampstead, and features four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, 9-foot ceilings, and is approximately 4,000 square feet.
Robin Ford Building & Remodeling, who built the home, is one of just three Southern Living Custom Builder Program members in the state.
Proceeds from the home show benefit the Carroll Hospice inpatient facility now under construction at the corner of Stoner Avenue and Washington Road in Westminster.
