3 Things You Can Do Around Your Custom Built Home This Valentine’s Day

Your Valentine would love nothing more than a clean home on their special day.

Valentine’s Day conjures up images of bouquets of red roses, boxes of chocolates, and a romantic dinner for two. As lovely as those things are, what makes somebody feel loved and appreciated is doing something for them that they really want, but maybe can’t do for themselves. Here are three things you can do around your custom built home to make your special Valentine feel loved and appreciated!

Clear Out The Garage

It is very easy for the garage to become the forgotten storage wasteland for things that don’t have spot elsewhere in the home. When closets and storage spots fill up, things quickly find their way to the garage. As winter rages on, your garage floor can get a bit dirty with all the debris that settles when the snow melts off your car. A lot of that dirt can get tracked right inside your house. Make your entrance squeaky clean for your Valentine. Sweep, clean, and reorganize the garage to make them feel right at home.

Take Care of Any Loose Ends in Your Home

If you’ve lived in your home for a while, you might have noticed that things get a bit loose. Drawers don’t fit as they should, knobs and handles are a bit sloppy. Blinds might not close as they should. Walk through your custom built home, room-by-room, and tighten up loose screws. Take care of any doorknobs and hinges, as well as anything else that feels a bit loose. You’ll be shocked at how much better your house feels once things are tightened down.

Tidy Up the Laundry Room

The laundry room can get a bit messy at times. It needs attention too. Maybe you could make that room of your custom built home a bit nicer. Vacuum and sweep to remove all of that dust and lint. Mop the floor so that if something does fall on the floor, it will not have to be rewashed. Make sure to check there’s enough space to hang up clothes that leave the dryer. Adding another bar for hanging clothes could also help.

Keeping your custom built home neat and tidy isn’t easy, so consider these tips to surprise your Valentine on this special holiday!
