What’s Trending in Bathroom Vanity Design?

Bathroom Vanity

Creating the perfect bathroom means picking the right bathroom vanity. Do you know what’s trending in bathroom vanity design?

If you’re thinking about what you want the bathroom of your custom home to look like, you’re probably centered on a few things: the shower or bath, lighting, and of course your vanity. Getting the sink, counter, and mirror to all fit in with one another is truly a balancing act. When working on a new home, you’re afforded the ability to incorporate as many current trends as possible—and that includes having the latest in bathroom vanity design.

Quartz is In

For most of this century, granite has been the king of countertops. This is due to the fact that it’s natural, readily available, and comes in a lot of different variations. In contrast, quartz is engineered and is only about 95% from natural materials. This is important because it means it doesn’t have to be resealed. Quartz still has the look of stone but it has a huge benefit for bathrooms in particular in that it isn’t porous, meaning bacteria isn’t absorbed. Quartz has become a trending option for bathroom countertop design.

Natural Sinks

Many homeowners are opting for sinks that look less like a designed product and more natural. This means incorporating natural stone elements, like onyx, marble, or granite into sink basins. Alternatively, many opt for wooden sink basins, Incorporating some of these natural elements can make your bathroom vanity add to the feeling that your bathroom is an oasis for you to relax in.

Brass is Back

For years, brass dominated bathroom design in many older homes. Brass fell into obscurity for a while and was considered to look very antiquated. Nowadays, brass has gone back in style and is actually appreciated for its antique look. Using polished brass plumbing fixtures is a fantastic way to give your bathroom vanity a unique style that will be envied by others.
